1) Microsoft

The richest man in the World – Bill Gates built Microsoft with his friend Paul Allen in a small garage back in 1975. 40 years later, Bill is worth $79.5 Billion – talk about started from the bottom now we’re here!

2) Dell

Similar to fellow entrepreneur Bill Gates – Michael Dell, owner of Dell is a college dropout with a net worth of $18.8 Billion.  Michael built computers out of his garage in 1984.

3) Google

Before Google’s $439 Billion market cap – founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin created Google in a garage in California in 1998.

4) Amazon

In 1994, Jeff Bezos founded Amazon.com in his home garage. Initially, Amazon was a small online bookstore – it is now the world’s largest online retailer. Jeff has a net worth $34.7 Billon thanks largely to Amazon.

5) Apple

The largest and most popular technology company wasn’t always so. Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak who brainstormed and built their computers out of Job’s garage.
